New York Mets manager Terry Collins clearly had a good feeling long before spring training that the team would enjoy a successful 2015 season, going all the way back to last November.
“2015 is gonna be the year,” Collins said two weeks before Thanksgiving, via the New York Post. “We’re gonna be in the mix to play in October. … We’ve been preaching patience for four years and it’s time to step up.”
As Collins alluded to in his comments, the Mets have been building towards something for some time, but it never translated into success until this season, as the Mets never finished .
