WASHINGTON -- Nobody would ever confuse Tanner Roark with Robert Redford, but it's hard to deny that there's something a little Natural-ish about the pitcher's role with the Washington Nationals.
Remember that scene about halfway through the movie, where Pop Fisher (played by Wilford Brimley) finally is ready to give Roy Hobbs (Redford) a long overdue look?
Pop: "Batting practice, tomorrow. Be there!"
Hobbs: "I have been. Every day."
