Jake McGee is taking strides in his journey back from his elbow injury.
The Tampa Bay Rays place left-handed pitcher Jeff Beliveau on the disabled list due to shoulder soreness. The move occurred before their Friday matchup against the New York Yankees. To replace Beliveau, the Rays called up lefty C.J Riefenhauser from AAA Durham, which will give him an opportunity to prove himself at the major league level.
Manager Kevin Cash explained how Beliveau showed some dead arm during the spring and he was never able to overcome it.
