Story of the year: Rockies rookie sets HR history

Colorado Rockies rookie shortstop Trevor Story now has his place in baseball's record book.

Story is the first player since 1900 to open his career with home runs in his first three games, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

He hit a 2-run homer in the first inning of Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks to give him four on the year. His four long balls in the first three games is also the most for a rookie player since 1900, according to Elias.
