These are the names you need to know as we head into the off-season
Following the completion of the Minor League playoffs, evaluators have an entire season of data from which to update their evaluations of prospects. Oftentimes we here of phrases like “small sample size” when talking about these young players because their promotions (and demotions in some case) don’t allow us to garner enough data at a given level from which to draw conclusions. This is sometimes no longer the case, as some players get called up for playoff competition in an effort to continue their development in semi-meaningful games.
