Conflicting Reports Surrounding Matz's Lat Injury

Andy Martino of the New York Daily News reported Matz's injury, noting it's a "sore lat muscle" that will keep him out for "several weeks."
Adam Rubin of ESPN New York initially reported the injury was not believed to be serious, but later added this:
Steven Matz was diagnosed with a partial tear of a lat muscle.
