The Boston Red Sox and Dodgers are finalizing a trade that will send utilityman Enrique Hernandez to Los Angeles, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Tuesday.
The deal will come ahead of the Aug. 1 trade deadline. It wasn't immediately known who Boston will receive in return.
Hernandez is in the middle of his third season with Boston but has stuggled offensively, hitting just .222 with six home runs and 31 RBIs in 86 games.
He's now set to return to a Los Angeles team on which he played from 2015 to '20.
