With the 2016 regular season winding down, managers throughout both leagues feel the pressures surrounding who’s in the hot seat & who’s safe at home.
A manager’s job is never safe. A month into this season, and after a 9-28 start, the Atlanta Braves were quick to fire manager Fredi Gonzalez. With no consecutive wins over a 5-19 span, the Braves front office elected to pull the plug early. Now, with less than a month of the regular season remaining, several teams are considering making similar decisions as they fall off course and out of contention. Some managers, however, seem to have shaped up just in the nick of time.
