Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani was removed in the seventh inning of Friday's game against the New York Yankees with a mild left ankle sprain.
Yahoo Sports' Tim Brown provided more details:
Tim BrownAccording to team, the ankle sprain is mild. It's his back foot while hitting, landing foot while pitching, and just one of two while, like, walking. Day to day. Scheduled to pitch again Tuesday.
This is just the latest injury concern for the dual-threat star. Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reported shortly after Ohtani signed with Los Angeles that he had undergone a platelet-rich plasma shot back in October, and an MRI showed a first-degree sprain of his right UCL.
