Kyle Schwarber’s moon shot of a home run in the 7th inning of Tuesday’s series-clinching 6-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals will live on in Chicago Cubs lore for ages. The home run ball he deposited on top of the Wrigley Field scoreboard will remain where it landed for at least as long as the Cubs remain in the postseason, something the Cubs rookie deems as “pretty cool.”
“It’s a great honor,” Schwarber said, via the Chicago Tribune. “Wrigley Field has such great history. For it to stay up there for however long it does — I don’t know how long they plan on keeping it up there — it will be cool.
