CC Sabathia hurled seven innings of one-run ball Saturday in the Yankees' 5-1 defeat of the Royals.
Sabathia was excellent, scattering five hits and a double over his seven frames. He struck out five and did not issue a walk. Sabathia is no longer the dominant power pitcher of old -- his fastball was averaging just 89.7 mph entering play Saturday -- but he's proven capable of sharp outings this season with steady control and good movement. He should remain a usable matchup-to-matchup fantasy starter throughout the summer, and he has a pretty attractive one next week against the Rangers.
