Royals' Alcides Escobar Bunts for Double vs. Rays

Popping up a bunt rarely works out well for the batter, but Kansas City Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar lucked out in a big way against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.

Escobar attempted to bunt for a hit in the eighth inning of Game 1 of the teams' doubleheader. He popped up the bunt, which actually turned out to be a good thing.

Tampa Bay pitcher Everett Teaford gave a good effort, but his dive ended up knocking the ball into foul territory. Escobar made the heads-up play and motored to second base for the bunt double.
