Nationals pitching prospect Reynaldo Lopez dominated Tuesday in his second start for High-A Potomac, scattering four hits over shutout frames.
He walked two while contributing six strikeouts. Washington's fourth-ranked prospect started the season a month late after hitting his innings cap last season. The rest must have done Lopez some good as he's held opposing hitters to a dismal .167 average in 38 plate appearances. Reynaldo has fanned nine hitters over his first 11 innings. He threw 74 pitches Tuesday, up from 55 in his previous outing. May 13 - 3:07 PM
