Report: Orioles get Michael Bourn from D’Backs

The Orioles have acquired veteran outfielder Michael Bourn from the Diamondbacks, Jon Heyman of Today’s Knuckleball reports.

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports first reported that Baltimore had interest in Bourn. Heyman reports the deal has been agreed to in principle.

Bourn, 33, provides outfield depth for the Orioles, who are in the hunt for the AL East title and a playoff spot. He will be eligible for the team”s postseason roster. He is batting .261 with 13 stolen bases in 358 plate appearances this season for the D’Backs.

The Orioles also picked up outfielder Drew Stubbs off waivers from the Rangers on Wednesday.
