The Miami Marlins reportedly parted ways with their TV analyst because he was too negative, according to a new report.
Tommy Hutton, who had served as the team’s television analyst for 19 years and covered both of their World Series-winning seasons, was abruptly let go earlier in the week. A source close to the Marlins told the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson that Hutton was axed for being too negative.
Players reportedly complained that Hutton was too harsh, and owner Jeffrey Loria allegedly relayed to Hutton that he didn’t like the broadcaster’s complaints about Marlins Park’s huge dimensions.
