Report: Giancarlo Stanton has broken bone in his hand

Giancarlo Stanton suffered a hand injury during Friday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers, and it appears he could end up missing some time.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, Stanton has a broken bone in his left hand. The 25-year-old slugger initially hurt his hand on a swing and miss in the sixth inning, but he remained in the game. After striking out in the ninth, Stanton was seen grimacing in pain.

As for the extent of the injury, Rosenthal notes that the Miami Marlins could become sellers now because of it.
