Bronny James isn't the only notable athlete to be drafted by an organization with ties to his famous father this year.
As Chris Cotillo of Mass Live noted Tuesday, the Boston Red Sox selected D'Angelo Ortiz in the 19th round of the 2024 MLB draft. The infielder is the son of Red Sox legend David Ortiz, who was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the 2022 class.
