Tampa Bay Rays rookie Richie Shaffer may have received the silent treatment from his teammates after hitting his first career home run, but he didn't let that stop him from celebrating the best moment of his baseball career.
In the top of the seventh inning of Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox, Shaffer—playing in just his second MLB game—sent a 2-2 pitch over the right field wall for his first big league homer. The home run also happened to be his first career hit.
