Three characteristics classify a solid offense, and the Texas Rangers have found all three.
Last year, the Texas Rangers finished as the worst team in the American League with only 67 wins. The Rangers found themselves at the bottom of the AL West only eight games into the 2015 season and have been playing “last place musical chairs” with Seattle and Oakland. But the Rangers started to turn everything around around when August began.
Entering the month at 50-52, Texas won 18 of 28 games, a divisional best for August. Scoring runs has been the story of success for the Rangers; in six of their 10 losses, they scored less than three runs.
