Although they didn't find an alligator in the dugout, the New York Mets were in for a bit of a surprise when they found a critter in the Citi Field weight room on Sunday.
A raccoon had somehow made its way into the training facility. Forget about baseball for a moment—there's a situation that needs to be dealt with. It's not like the Mets had to prepare to face Los Angeles Dodgers ace Zack Greinke, who is riding a 43.2-inning scoreless streak, later in the day or anything.
Once the initial shock of the situation wore off, the team worked on getting the animal out of the weight room.
