With less than a third of the season remaining, let’s take a look at the Wild Card contenders.
With the non-waiver trade deadline a week in the past and teams beginning to make their playoff pushes in earnest, it’s time to take a way-too-early look at who will play in the National League Wild Card Game this October.
Every National League team has between 53 and 56 games remaining on their schedules, so there is certainly a lot of baseball left to be played. But the contenders for the wild card are very straight forward at this point.
