Astros prospect OF Brett Phillips went 3-for-5 with a home run and double on Thursday for High-A Lancaster.
The home run was Phillips’ fifth of the season, and he’s now batting .341/.379/.634 with 13 extra-base hits through 20 games. The 20-year-old came from nowhere in 2014 to take home Astros’ Minor League Player of the Year honors with a .310/.375/.529 batting line, 60 extra-base hits (17 home runs) and 23 stolen bases between both Class-A levels. Don’t be surprised if he receives a promotion to Double-A during the first half of the season. May 1 - 12:24 PM
