Phillies manager Gabe Kapler responded to a Washington Post report that claims he did not properly handle the reporting of an alleged assault of a 17-year-old girl in February 2015 when he was director of player development for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Kapler refuted the claims, saying the report that he "concealed or otherwise mishandled a sexual assault claim" is "100% not true."
On Friday, the Post reported that when Kapler was with the Dodgers he received an email from the accuser stating that she was kicked and punched by two women while partying with two Dodgers minor league players in one of their spring training hotel rooms in Glendale, Ariz.
