Panik plays hero with walk-off sacrifice fly - Joe Panik (2B) San Francisco Giants

Joe Panik hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers.

Panik hit the sacrifice fly off of J.P. Howell with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth inning. The Dodgers played five men in the infield, hoping for a Panik grounder that could get them out of the inning, but he hit the ball in the air and sent the Giants home with the win. The game was as good as a late April game can be, with Madison Bumgarner and Clayton Kershaw matching each other almost pitch-for-pitch, a dramatic pinch-hit home run by Alex Guerrero to tie the game at 2-2 in the seventh and Panik's ultimate nail in the coffin to end the contest.
