The San Diego Padres will be without second baseman Xander Bogaerts for some time after they placed him on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left shoulder on Wednesday, per Jeff Wallner of the Associated Press.
"I'm not a big timetable guy," Padres manager Mike Shildt said. "Obviously he'll be on the sidelines for a period of time. It's really impossible to say how long. We're still gathering information."
Bogaerts suffered the injury diving for a ground ball during Monday's contest against the Atlanta Braves.
