After a heartbreaking 8-6 loss to the Nationals via a Ryan Zimmerman two-run, walk-off homerun, the Yankees received more bad news after learning that center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury sprained his right knee and would need a 15-day DL stint. As a result, the Yankees called up former first round draft pick Slade Heathcott from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Once a highly touted prospect with the potential to be a 20-20 player, the outfielder has been beset by a host of injuries that have hindered his growth as a player.
