Why This Pick Makes Sense:
Organizational Need: The New York Mets have a deep, young rotation capable of winning ball games when the offense produces few runs. While this is a luxury few ball clubs have, the Mets truly need to address a lack of organizational depth in position players. Wilmer Flores is showing great progress, while Travis d’Arnaud has remained injury prone, David Wright may not play again this season and David Murphy like Wright, has too landed on the disabled list.
