The Washington Nationals pulled off what may go down as the most spectacular groundout to the right side of the infield in MLB history Saturday night.
With one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford ripped a sharp grounder between first baseman Clint Robinson and second baseman Anthony Rendon. Robinson tried to snag the grounder with a dive, but he ended up deflecting the ball into the air.
The craziness was just getting started.
Rendon was able to react quickly, barehand the baseball and quickly throw it to first.
