Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo told reporters that it is unlikely Stephen Strasburg will pitch in the National League Division Series.
Strasburg suffered a strained flexor mass in his right elbow on September 7 and has not pitched in a game. An MRI did not show any ligament damage.
He played catch at Turner Field on September 17.
Strasburg has a 15–4 record and 3.60 ERA on the year.

The Nationals also lost catcher Wilson Ramos for the postseason as he suffered a torn ACL that will require surgery.
