Some people really, really like sports.
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts said on social media Tuesday that a fan of the team gave his infant daughter the middle name "Mookie" in his honor after he hit a home run during an Aug. 2 game against the Oakland Athletics:
Mookie Betts @mookiebettsOne of the coolest moments of ya boy's entire career! Bro is a man of his word ud83dude02ud83dudc76ud83cudffc <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/babymookie?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#babymookie</a> <a href="https://t.co/rVIG4VWJVe">pic.twitter.com/rVIG4VWJVe</a>
The fan, Giuseppe Mancuso, had told Betts while he was in the on-deck circle that he would give his daughter the middle name "Mookie" if he hit a homer during his next at-bat.
