The New York Mets appear likely to join the trade market for a starting pitcher following Kodai Senga's injury.
The Mets had been counting on the 31-year-old's return and it was short-lived. In his first start of the season on Friday, Senga suffered a left calf strain and is now expected to miss the remainder of the regular season.
With this development, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reported that the Mets have entered the starting pitcher market and named Chicago White Sox veteran Erick Fedde as a potential option.
