Coming off arguably the best season of his career, Willy Adames has cashed in with a long-term deal from the San Francisco Giants.
Per ESPN's Jeff Passan, Adames and the Giants have agreed to terms on a seven-year, $182 million contract in free agency.
Adames spent the past four seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers after being acquired in an in-season trade with the Tampa Bay Rays in May 2021. It was an unusual deal at the time because the Rays were in playoff contention at the time, but they also had then-top-prospect Wander Franco in Triple-A on the verge of reaching the big leagues.
