Right-hander Max Scherzer is drawing interest from the Toronto Blue Jays, according to Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.
The team is also reportedly looking to add a superstar slugger, with names like Pete Alonso or Anthony Santander being considered.
Adding a slugger would make Toronto a more attractive destination for Scherzer, the 40-year-old future Hall of Famer, who has spent the last two seasons with Texas, posting a 3.95 ERA and a 1.154 WHIP last season.
