The New York Yankees are back in the World Series for the first time in 15 years.
A tenth-inning blast from Juan Soto in Game 5 of the ALCS on Saturday night led the Yankees to a pennant-clinching win over the Cleveland Guardians.
Thanks to a game-tying home run from ALCS MVP Giancarlo Stanton in the sixth and two scoreless innings from closer Luke Weaver, the Yankees will now take on either the New York Mets or Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2024 World Series.
The Mets pushed the NLCS to at least six games on Friday with a 12-6 win that staved off elimination at home.
