The Boston Red Sox are the team to watch amid rumors that the Chicago White Sox plan to trade left-hander Garrett Crochet this offseason, MLB Network's Jon Morosi reported.
The Red Sox will be "especially" competitive for Crochet if they do not land star outfielder Juan Soto or pitchers Max Fried and Corbin Burnes in free agency, Morosi said on Wednesday.
According to Morosi, the White Sox are "would prefer to get prospects who have not even debuted yet in the major league" in exchange for Crochet.
Crochet, who just completed his first season as a starter, is arbitration-eligible for the next two seasons.
