After a stagnant offense led to a shutout loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, the New York Mets bounced back for a 7-3 win in Game 2 on Monday.
The Mets' offense woke up from its Game 1 slump early on Monday as Francisco Lindor hit a solo home run in the first inning. New York added another run in the second on an RBI double from Tyrone Taylor.
The Dodgers opted to pitch around Lindor in the second, setting up a bases-loaded situation for Mark Vientos, and he delivered with a grand slam to make it 6-0.
