Japanese ace Koudai Senga has found a home in Major League Baseball after agreeing to a five-year, $75 million deal with the New York Mets pending a physical, per Andy Martino of SNY.
Senga, who will turn 30 on Jan. 30, has been in Nippon Professional Baseball since 2010. He was originally drafted as a developmental player by the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks as a 17-year-old.
The Hawks added him to their official roster in April 2012, and the right-hander has been one of the best pitchers in NPL for the past 11 seasons.
