New York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano has been placed on the 10-day injured list with left quad tightness, according to the team on Sunday:
New York MetsRobinson Canó has been placed on the 10-day IL (left quad tightness), retroactive to June 6. We’ve selected the contract of RHP Tim Peterson from Triple-A Syracuse. #Mets https://t.co/H6OZ64jMo6
Cano has been a bit unlucky this season due to injuries, going on the injured list due to a quad strain after a hit by pitch on the hand caused him to miss a few games.
