New York Mets starting pitcher Luis Severino took some shots at his former New York Yankees teammates on Friday.
Severino revealed that he's in a group chat with members of the Yankees, who playfully told him that he was "afraid of them" due to his expected absence in the upcoming Subway Series on Tuesday.
"I'm not afraid of you guys," Severino responded to them.
He added, presumably referring to Aaron Judge and Juan Soto: "Right now, you only have two good hitters."
The 30-year-old spent the first nine years of his career with the Yankees before he joined the Mets on a one-year, $13 million contract following his 2023 campaign.
