Max Scherzer Trade Rumors: Mets, Rangers Agree on Deal; SP Must Approve Move

Max Scherzer could potentially be on the move soon as the New York Mets and Texas Rangers have reportedly agreed on a trade, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

The deal is still not completed yet, as Scherzer is yet to approve of the trade.

SNY's Andy Martino first reported the two sides had engaged in serious trade talks over the 39-year-old right-hander ahead of the trade deadline.

Any deal for Scherzer would have to go through him, as the three-time Cy Young award winer has a no-trade clause in his contract and he'd have final approval over wherever he ends up.
