The Tampa Bay Rays agreed to trade starting pitcher Matt Moore to the San Francisco Giants Monday ahead of the trade deadline.
Joel Sherman of the New York Post confirmed the agreement is in place, adding that first baseman Chris Shaw is "likely" heading to Tampa Bay in the trade. Buster Olney of ESPN reported that first baseman Chris Shaw and "two others" are in the trade, with Lucius Fox "expected to be included." Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reported third baseman Matt Duffy is the other player in the deal.
