Matt Harvey really is embracing his nickname.
Two years ago, fans started calling the New York Mets ace “The Dark Knight of Gotham,” a reference to popular comic book hero Batman. Mets faithful took to wearing Batman masks during the team’s postseason run this year, so Steiner Sports smartly asked Harvey to start signing them.

Harvey helped lead the Mets to their first World Series in 19 years this season, and he infamously refused to leave Game 5 after pitching eight shutout innings.
