Texas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez was placed on the 10-day disabled list Saturday after he injured his thumb in an accident involving the door of his hotel room.
Jeff Wilson of the Star-Telegram reported the roster move, as outfielder Drew Robinson was recalled to fill the void on the 25-man roster. Perez tore the nail off his right thumb and fractured the tip of the bone Thursday night, per ESPN.com.
