Jason Marquis earned his third win of the season on Saturday, as he held the Braves to three runs (two earned) over 6 1/3 innings.
Outside of a two-run homer by Cameron Maybin in the fourth and an RBI double by Andrelton Simmons in the seventh, Marquis managed to keep the Braves off the scoreboard. He allowed five hits, struck out four and walked two during his time on the mound. Marquis now sports a 4.91 ERA and 1.43 WHIP, with a 28/9 K/BB ratio across 29 1/3 innings. The numbers aren't spectacular, but Marquis has pitched decently over his last two starts.
