South Korean outfielder Hyun Soo Kim is on the Baltimore Orioles initial 25-man roster that the team submitted to major league baseball despite a disappointing spring.
Last week Orioles executive Dan Duquette said it looked like Kim, who signed a two-year, $7 million contract with the Orioles last December, would not be on the 25-man roster.
If the Orioles couldn't work out a deal to send Kim back to Korea, his contract said that he would have to agree to a minor league assignment. His representatives indicated late last week that he would not do that.
