Marlins pitching prospect Justin Nicolino surrendered eight hits over six shutout innings Tuesday in a win for Triple-A New Orleans.
He threw 52 of his 83 pitches for strikes. The 23-year-old hasn't allowed a run in five of his last six outings, recording a 1.50 ERA during that stretch. Nicolino is holding left-handed hitters to a paltry .200 average this season and has yet to lose a game in 2015.
