A Cincinnati Reds legend is calling it quits.
Joey Votto officially announced his retirement on his Instagram account on Wednesday. While the Toronto Blue Jays signed Votto to a minor league contract in March, he never appeared in an MLB game this season.
That means he only played for the Reds during his 17-year career at the sport's highest level.
