Joey Gallo Reportedly Traded to Yankees from Rangers Ahead of Deadline

Joey Gallo has a new home.

The New York Yankees are reportedly finalizing a trade to land the former Texas Rangers slugger, according to Levi Weaver of The Athletic.

According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, Texas will receive shortstop Josh Smith (New York's No. 14 prospect, per MLB.com), second baseman Ezequiel Duran (No. 15), second baseman/outfielder Trevor Hauver (No. 23) and right-handed pitcherGlenn Otto (No. 28) as part of the return package. Passan noted there are more players involved.

Gallo is one of the more dangerous home-run hitters in baseball.
