Playing in his 15th season for his hometown Minnesota Twins, Joe Mauer made history Thursday night by recording career hit No. 2,000.
In the seventh inning, Mauer joined the 2K club with a single off Chicago White Sox southpaw Aaron Bummer, with footage courtesy of Fox Sports North:
Of course, the two-run single was significant in terms of the game as it extended Minnesota's lead to 4-0.
