If the Chicago Cubs never make it back to the playoffs (and, really, what are the odds of that?)…they sure are making the most out of their fifteen minutes of glory. Before heading to New York to take on the Mets, Joe Maddon managed to carve out some time to sneak in a meal with the legend himself…Mike Ditka.
And, man, to be a fly on the wall at that restaurant.

The duo met up at one of Ditka’s Windy City establishments Thursday to discuss, presumably, facial hair, their Pennsylvania roots (Maddon is from Eastern PA…Da Coach hails from outside Pittsburgh) and, probably, who the Cubs skipper kicks off Chicago’s Coaching Mount Rushmore should the team break their 107-year winless streak.
